Learning Objectives:

  • Identify the key musculoskeletal finds and somatic dysfunctions in pregnant patients and those with pelvic disorders.
  • Deliver recommendations for navigating the environment of preventive screening and immunizations in the current changing geopolicital healthcare and health policy landscape.
  • Review inital lab workup for perimenopause.
  • Implement a comprehensive, interprofessional controlled substance management plan integrating Prescription Drug Monitoring Program data, compliance guidelines, and risk-mitigation strategies.
  • Evaluate the shoulder complex integrating osteopathic structural diagnosis with biomechanical function.
  • Apply principles of interprofessional care to the management of older adults with common geriatric presentations such as mobility impairment, arthritis, dysphagis, and dementia.
  • Apply collaborative, team-based approaches to the development of treatment protocols for cardiovascular disease in older adults.
  • Recognize the core features of Dementia with Lewy Bodies (DLB) and best management approach.
  • Define ageism and discuss its impact on the health and wellness of older adults.
  • Learn how to integrate OMM with acupuncture to reduce pain, balance the autonomic nervous system, and improve functional mobilityStrengthen collaborative approaches to delivering comprehensive, team-based primary care services across diverse practice settings.
  • Integrate team-based approaches into the recognition and management of common clinical presentations across outpatient and community care settings.
  • Promote evidence-based, interprofessional strategies to support adolescent preventive care, screening, and early identification of health concerns.
  • Explore emerging diagnostic and point-of-care technologies that improve clinical decision-making, patient outcomes, and workflow efficiency across healthcare teams.
