Learning Objectives
- Describe current evidence-based approaches to the resuscitation and management of pediatrics status epilepticus, including early recognition, pharmacologic therapy, and escalation strategies.
- Explain the indications, technical considerations, and potential complications of key emergency and critical care procedures utilized during resuscitation.
- Identify best practices for the evaluation and managemetn of critically ill patients across a spectrum of resuscitation scenarios, with emphasis on timely intervention and team-based care.
- Discuss principles of post-resuscutation management and appropriate disposition, including criteria for observation, admission, transfer, and consultation.
- Recognize the role of observation medicine in emergency care, including patient selection, protocolized management, and safe disposition to improve outcomes and resource utilization.
