BSides of South Jersey

This event supports Rowan University’s mission by providing inclusive, creative, and educational experiences that prepare students for successful careers and lifelong learning. BSides South Jersey also strengthens industry partnerships and promotes experiential learning, reflecting Rowan’s commitment to serving both students and the regional/local community.
The purpose of this initiative is to host the inaugural BSides South Jersey conference at Rowan University, organized by the Cybersecurity Club and WiCyS Rowan Chapter in partnership with the Department of Computer Science. The goals of the event include: supporting student development, bridging the gap between academia and the technology industry, community engagement, and promoting awareness through industry professional talks, workshops, and activities. This event will educate students and the community on emerging topics in cybersecurity while highlighting career opportunities and expectations for those entering the technology field. By being open to the public, BSides South Jersey will encourage connections among students, faculty, and security professionals, while creating opportunities for mentorship and strengthening industry partnerships. The conference will empower student learning while showcasing Rowan University as a leading hub for cybersecurity.
